New Store Opening - GM, AGM & Ops Managers Needed - Kearney, NE - CareersForward

CareersForward is actively seeking experienced food and beverage managers, General Managers. Assistant General Managers and Operations Managers for immediate consideration to place within a regionally recognized QSR fast upscale brand in the Fremont market.

BENEFITS & COMPENSATION - All management positions;

GENERAL MANAGER 

Base salary for this position will range from $50k - $55k with total targeted compensation earnings potential possible of $80k - $85 in high performing restaurants that are exceeding goals and objectives. 

Position Overview 

The General Manager provides strategic direction for their restaurant. This manager must maintain operations and drive results his/her restaurant, through people development, sales and profit growth. The manager must hire, train and develop Crewmembers and Managers that share the company's values and culture. The General Manager must convey this culture to Crewmemebrs and be a creative team player who likes to work hard, have fun, and show sincere dedication to the brand. 

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

People Management: Own staffing in restaurant by providing timely feedback on interviews to the management team; monitor selection process and all managers’ roles in it. Ensure the restaurant environment is safe at all times for both Crewmembers and Customers; oversee the correct facilitation of the orientation process is being executed properly; write and implement or monitor manager development and performance plans; ensure performance plans are written and executed as needed; make all final hire and separation decisions for restaurant and ensure proper procedures are followed in regards to hiring, promotions and separations.

Oversees the Management Team to ensure the organization and implementation of the restaurant’s training program aligns with the standards of the company. Foster respect, recognition and rewards; promote a work hard have fun environment.

Financial Management : Audit all facets of operations deliver feedback and develop solutions to facilitate improvements; have complete understanding of budget and cost trends that impact operation; create a business plan; perform financial analysis; control cash, property, product and equipment; builds sales, control labor and food costs; meets all targets set by Operations Leadership; set aggressive goals to drive business metrics.

Business Development: Represent Southern Hospitality Ventures, Inc. in conjunction with the vision statement in the local community, develop and execute local restaurant marketing programs the restaurant using company guided strategies; identify and know local trade area; plan and execute on an active community involvement strategy that enhances the quality of the customer experience and overall image of the Brand in the community.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree preferably in food, beverage or hospitality or equatable work experience 
  • Minimum of 5 plus years of previous food service, retail or restaurant supervisory experience
  • Knowledge and skills in analyzing profit and loss statements and overall financial performance of restaurant
  • Progressive career responsibilities
  • Knowledge and skills in staffing
  • Knowledge of Labor Laws
  • Local restaurant marketing experience a plus
  • Ability to lead, motivate, and empower Crewmembers to higher levels of performance
  • Ability to set goals, create plans, and convert plans into action
  • Ability to measure performance, subjectively and objectively
  • Is a brand ambassador both in and outside of the restaurant

ASSISTANT GENERAL MANAGER 

Base salary for this position will range from $35k - $45k based on work experience and this is an hourly non-exempt position. 

Position Overview 

The Assist General Manager's primary responsibility of supporting the General Manager in day to day operations of the restaurant.  The AGM will assist in hiring, training and developing Crewmembers and Operations Managers that share the company's values and culture. The AGM must convey this culture to all Crewmembers and be a creative team player who likes to work hard, have fun, and show sincere dedication to the brand. 

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

Operations Management 

Typically assist general management in meeting or exceed established sales, revenue and profitability goals
Generally requires 3-5 years work experience in a similar role. To assist in ensuring the financial integrity of all P&L statements by adhering to systems that properly track expenses and revenues that are categorized, coded and posted through control processes. With direction received from the General Manager assist in the management of monthly and annual sales objectives. Ensure all revenues, cash, credit or check are properly deposited and accounted for and are secured into the Company’s operating bank account. Oversee the integrity and operational functionality of all point of sale and security systems and equipment

Business Management 

Manage internal/external communications in a timely and effective manner. Communicate objectives in meetings and as required present initiatives and objectives by speaking, guiding and when applicable guiding staff to meet established objectives. Maintain safe working conditions as required by OSHA and federal, state and local governing bodies. Communicate with managers, hourly employees, and customers, providing positive feedback and promoting a positive image and good employee morale. Regularly assist in the counseling of employees
Along with general management evaluates staff with formal evaluations. Leads a team effectively and develops others. Trains management/staff as applicable in all proper end of day procedures, including banking
Assists in ensuring a safe and harassment free workplace. Takes quick and responsible action in solving problems and able to use reason when dealing with disciplinary issues.

Project Support

Understand the purpose, intent, rationale, mechanics, requirements and desired results of all company driven programs and initiatives; actively collaborate, organize and support program implementations at the restaurant level; support General Manager with execution of the restaurants local marketing plans.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required - college cours work preferred 
  • 3 - 5 years restaurant or retail management required
  • Displays business and financial acumen
  • Ability to lead, motivate, and empower front line managers and Crewmembers
  • Has excellent verbal and written skills
  • Ability to recognize problems and problem solve
  • Ability to set goals and convert plans into action
  • Knowledge and skills in staffing, scheduling, people and cost management

OPERATIONS MANAGER 

Base salary for this position will range from $30k - $35k based on work experience and this is an hourly non-exempt position. 

Position Overview 

The Operations Manager's primary responsibility of supporting the General Manager in day to day operations of the restaurant; conveying the the culture to Crewmembers and Customers; as well be a creative team player who likes to work hard, have fun, and show sincere dedication to the brand. The Operations Manager will be responsible for upholding standards for the Crewmember and Customers experiences while also leading shifts, providing support in financial management, restaurant maintenance and company initiatives.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities :

Operations Management

To lead Crewmembers on each shift. Promote open communication between all levels of Crew in the restaurant including: Shift Managers, Shift Captains, Trainers and Crewmembers. Assist in proactively manage the operation of the restaurant to include planning/forecasting of weekly sales, labor and COGs; maintains restaurant cleanliness; identifies maintenance problems and communicates problems to General Manager. Leads monthly inventory counts and ensures weekly vendor orders are made and properly received; lead achievement of all performance metrics.

Business Management

Support the General Manager in managing food and labor costs to increase restaurant profitability; lead restaurant to achieve financial goals set by the Operations Leadership Team. Identify issues that need addressed. Develop a plan to resolve issue and present findings/ suggestions to the General Manager; lead the monitoring of spending on all costs to include: contract services, repair and maintenance as well as supply costs.

Train and develop Shift Managers and Crewmembers to improve the quality of the restaurant operation; support the professional development of the Shift Managers and Crewmembers; draft performance plans for Shift managers and share information with General Manager; lead follow up on all performance plans delivered; lead and execute all new Crewmember and Shift Manager orientations.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • 3 years restaurant or retail management preferred
  • Ability to lead, motivate, and empower Crewmembers
  • Has excellent verbal and written skills
  • Ability to recognize problems and problem solve
  • Ability to set goals and convert plans into action
  • Knowledge and skills in staffing, scheduling, people and cost management
